You’re invited to have your say on the EECS Act review. Consultation is open until 17 August 2026.

The Education and Early Childhood Services (Registration and Standards) Act 2011 which governs the operations of the Education Standards Board (ESB) is undergoing an independent review. The review focuses on the regulation of schools and the governance of the ESB to ensure South Australia is operating under modern and contemporary legislation. The review will not consider early childhood services or changes to the National Law.

The Education and Early Childhood Services (Registration and Standards) Act 2011: Consultation Paper is available on the YourSAy website. It provides information and a series of questions on key issues we are seeking your feedback on. 

You are invited to review the consultation paper and provide a written response, or you can complete a short community survey.

Your responses will contribute to a report with recommendations to the Hon. Lucy Hood MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills.
