Proud of Aboriginal art in our office

04 May 2021

As part of our ongoing journey of reconciliation, Aboriginal language and artwork has been included in our new office space. This initiative was a key deliverable in our ‘Reflect’ Reconciliation Action Plan.

Glass in our entrance area and offices is covered in striking semi-opaque Aboriginal artwork.

There is also a written acknowledgement of country in Kaurna and English in our reception area, and meeting rooms have Kaurna names.

Our meeting rooms are named Inparri Kuu (meeting room), Pudna (waterhole) and Kardla (fire/campfire).

The artwork was created by artist Allan Sumner. It is called Tirkanthi Kumangka (knowing, understanding and learning together). The large circles represent educational facilities. The smaller ones linked by wavy lines symbolise learning together, and the surroundings show land and waters.
