New child safety team meeting package available

Services can now access the National Quality Framework (NQF) child safety team meeting package, a practical resource developed by ACECQA to support team discussions and strengthen child-safe practices within education and care services. 

The package was developed following ACECQA's Child Safety Review and is designed to help services better understand recent changes to child safety requirements. Activities are designed to promote reflection, shared learning and informed decision-making.

The package includes four ready-to-use session guides covering:

• child-safe culture and the paramount consideration
• professional conduct, behaviour and accountability
• digital safety, reporting and information sharing
• workforce safeguards and governance.

Each session includes an outline, facilitator guide and participant handout, providing a structured method to incorporate into team meetings, leadership discussions or professional learning activities. The package is designed to complement, not replace mandatory child safety training requirements.
