Accommodation for younger overseas students

06 April 2020

Providers on the Commonwealth Register for Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) must have, and implement, a documented process for verifying student accommodation.

They must be satisfied that each student has accommodation that suits their age and needs. This is particularly important for students under the age of 18 years of age.

Providers must also verify student accommodation before it is approved, and at least every six months after that.

For further information, see the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018, Standard 5.3: Younger overseas students.
