Physical Environment
- Cords in the Baby Sleep Room are secured and out of children’s reach.
- Improved lighting and visibility to the sleep room.
- Evacuation diagrams are displayed near all exit points, showing paths of egress.
- First Aid kits are adequately stocked and accessible in both indoor and outdoor areas.
- All areas of the service have sufficient natural lighting and ventilation.
- A project plan and timelines for establishing appropriate ventilation and natural light measures in the baby sleep room, toddler room 2 and kindy room.
- Clutter is removed from both indoor and outdoor environments.
- The carpet in the Baby Sleep Room has been repaired.
- Sandpits meet the required minimum depth of 500mm.
- The risk posed by the exposed pipe on the Kindy Room rear wall has been mitigated.
- Animal feed is stored securely and cannot be accessed by children.
- Paper/board used to conceal damaged walls, doors or windows has been removed, and a maintenance plan and risk assessment are in place.
- Commercial paint has been removed from all licensed areas.
- The mosquito net above the gate between Toddler Room 1 and 2 has been removed.
- Hazards within reach of children at the Kindy Room gate have been addressed and removed.
- The portable animal enclosure in the yard has been removed or adequately repaired.
- Mats in the Baby Room are clean and in good repair.
- The current contact details for the Education Standards Board are displayed alongside the Prescribed Information at the service entry.
Risk Management
- A current Sleep and Rest Risk Minimisation Plan is in place.
- A schedule for emergency rehearsals is established from the date of this notice to 30 July 2026.
- A general risk assessment identifying potential emergencies has been completed.
- A risk assessment relating to animals within the premises is in place.
- A risk assessment and mitigation strategies address supervision of children in toilet areas.
- A risk assessment and mitigation strategies for supervision of the baby sleep room.
- A risk assessment and risk mitigation measures are in place for the broken decking in the children’s yard.
- Daily yard checks are conducted by educators prior to outdoor access.
Policies and Procedures
- All policies and procedures required under Regulation 168(2) have been reviewed and are current.
- Medical Management Plans, Risk Minimisation Plans, and Communication Plans are in place for all children with a diagnosed health care need, allergy, or medical condition (Regulation 90).
- Strategies are implemented to ensure compliance with Regulations 77–80 (health, hygiene, food and beverage provisions).
- The staff induction process includes appropriate information and guidance on Regulations 77, 78, 79, and 90.
Staffing and Records
- Efforts made to recruit an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) are documented (e.g., advertisements, correspondence).
- Complete staff records are maintained in accordance with regulation 147, including:
